Extensive damage to the small town caused the delay of its progress for several years afterward. Chatham (1826)
A probable significant tornado which crossed Lake St. Clair and impacted the community of Chatham where extensive damage was done. Reference: Detroit Herald, August 16, 1826. Max Width: ~1 mile (~1.6km), Injuries and Deaths listed as unknown
Cornwall (1823)
Possibly began as 2 tornadoes as “2 paths seemed to unite”. Damage at Constable, NY, (22 miles ESE of Cornwall, ON). Track length: At least 10km (on US side) (also may have been two tracks)
